During college she traveled extensively through Europe, living and working for short periods of time in England, France, Switzerland and Holland. She immigrated to the United States shortly after college. She has traveled extensively in the United States and Europe and has visited Australia, Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil.
In the United States she worked in the textile and jewelry businesses and as a certified state and federal court interpreter. She began her law practice as a sole practitioner shortly after her admission to the bar.
